Achmad Nasrudin Yahya, Jakarta – The Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) has asserted that solidarity between civil society groups will not be split or divided by an attempt to invite them to a meeting with President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday November 23.

Walhi Executive Director Nur Hidayati said that the rejection of the invitation to attend the Palace meeting sends a strong message to the government that the social movements cannot be stemmed.

According to Karus, the House of Representatives (DPR) must include a reevaluation of the law in its 2021 Priority National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) if it wants to strengthen democracy in the country. He even suggests that the law be abolished because it has resulted in many victims.
