With the political elite absorbed with trying to find electable – or at least not completely discredited – candidates to run in the upcoming regional elections in June and the legislative and presidential elections next year, little attention is being paid to the plight of Indonesia’s small-scale farmers whose livelihoods are being undermined by food imports.
