Student rally at Constitutional Court demands Adrie Yunus case be tried in public court

Jakarta – a student alliance held an action in front of the Constitutional Court (MK) urging that the case of the acid attack against Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus be processed in a public court.

Action coordinator Yassar from the group Democracy and Legal Social Concern believes that the acid attack case represents a serious momentum for the Constitutional Court to find in favour of a judicial review case number 260/PUU-XXIII/2025.
Survey finds 53% of respondents say people afraid to talk politics

Baharudin Al Farisi, Danu Damarjati, Jakarta – As many as 53 percent of respondents to an Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) poll believe that the public is always or often afraid to discuss politics.

The component on the state of freedom was included in the LSI survey titled "Evaluation and Public Commitment to [the state ideology] Pancasila", which was presented by LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in Cikini, Central Jakarta, on Sunday April 12.
Marking 30 days, coalition holds solidarity action tracing Andrie Yunus acid attack

Adrial Akbar, Jakarta – The Civil Society Coalition in Solidarity with Andrie Yunus held an action to commemorate the anniversary of 30 days since the acid attack on Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) activist Andrie Yunus.

During the action they traced the route from where Yunus was initially followed by the perpetrators to the location where he was doused with acid.

Jakarta – The Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) has revealed the alleged identities and roles of the 16 perpetrators of the acid attack on the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus.

Ravio Patra, an independent researcher collaborating with TAUD in investigating the attempted premeditated murder, has grouped the perpetrators into an execution team (consisting of OTK 1-OTK 5), a close-range surveillance team (OTK 6-OTK 10), a command team (OTK 11-OTK 13) and a long-range surveillance team (OTK 14-OTK 16).
