Jakarta – A wave of protests against the Omnibus Law on Job Creation have broken out around the country since Monday October 5. Workers and students have taken to the streets to urging President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to annul the law.

There are groups who have to continue working outside the home in order to keep kitchens fires burning despite the risk of the fatal disease.

Surabaya – An action by thousands of workers and students from the East Java Movement Alliance Against the Omnibus Law (Getol) has urged President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to immediately cancel the deliberations on the Draft Omnibus Law on Job Creation. They also threatened that they will hold even larger protests if he does not.

Farih Maulana Sidik, Jakarta – Students from a number of different campuses held a demonstration in front of the State Palace in Central Jakarta to commemorate International Human Rights Day on Tuesday December 10.

The students, who marched from the nearby Horse Statue, were joined by workers, the majority of which wore red clothing.
