Cianjur Regent Dr. Muhammad Wahyu said that that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cianjur 0608 District Military Command (Kodim) and the Raider 300/Braja Wijaya Infantry Battalion on the development of troublesome students.
"In accordance with the governor's directions, we will provide guidance to the students. Earlier there was a MoU (with the TNI)", he said after a National Education Day (Hardiknas) ceremony at the Cianjur Hall on Friday May 2.
According to Wahyu, the program will start running next week. "This week we will begin to coordinate and record students involved in juvenile delinquency to later be sent to the barracks", he said.
Wahyu said that the category of students to be given guidance at TNI barracks includes students involved in brawls, drinking alcohol, those who go against their parents and who are addicted online games.
But specifically in Cianjur, students who show indications of being LGBT with the characteristics of being "limp wristed" will also be in the category of those who are to be sent to the barracks for guidance.
"The category of students who are indeed problematic, in quotes who brawl, drunkenness, smoking, against their parents. If there are indeed indications of LGBT they will also be given guidance. Later, we will carry out guidance and also national defence education. In the barracks we will also be assisted by a psychologist yeah, from a health [professional]. Later we will coordinate the technical issues", he said..
Meanwhile, Cianjur Regency Youth and Sports Education Office head Ruhli said that they are still compiling a program of student development activities at TNI barracks.
"We are preparing the technical program. Later, the material will be provided. What's clear is that students who are involved in brawls or other kinds of teenage delinquency, including those indicated to be LGBT can also be given guidance. Later it will be recorded, they'll be picked up at school and it will be coordinated with their parents as well, then they will be given guidance for several weeks or a month", he said.
He hopes that with this guidance children in the City of Religious Pupils as Cianjur is known can behave better. "It is hoped that this program can shape their character to being better children", he said.
