Laili – The People Movement Alliance (ARB) held a protest action to commemorate May Day, National Education Day and 24 years since reformasi in the Central Java city of Yogyakarta on May 22.

International Labour Day 2022 was commemorated by the Labour Party as a "May Day Fiesta" at the Bung Karno Sports Stadium (GBK) in Jakarta on May 14. An estimated 30-60 thousand workers attended the fiesta. Even if the lower estimate of 30,000 is used it shows an increase in mass mobilisations.

Jakarta – The Humanitarian Coalition for Papua is urging the authorities to immediately and fully investigate an attack on the Papua Legal Aid Foundation (LBH) offices in Jayapura. According to the Coalition, police must also take steps to anticipate and prevent similar attacks from taking place.

Jakarta – The Humanitarian Coalition for Papua says that the unilateral creation of three new provinces in Papua by the central government is like repeating the management model of Dutch power during the colonial era.

They are also asking President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to be prepared to sit down with them at the negotiating table.

Jayapura – The Jayapura city municipal police arrested Buchtar Tabuni and Bazoka Logo along with five others for attacking police officers in the Heram district of Jayapura on Thursday March 24.

Tabuni and Logo are members of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) which his chaired by Benny Wenda.
