Nicholas Ryan Aditya, Ardito Ramadhan, Jakarta – Amnesty says that the first year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has been marked by paradoxical public policies and a decline in respect for human rights.

Amnesty International Indonesia Executive Director Usman Hamid said that the Prabowo-Gibran administration's policy direction has displayed a populist image on the one hand, but was ridden with elite interests on the other.

Dani Aswara, Sukma N Loppies – The economic and public policy research institute Centre for Economic and Law Studies (Celios) has found that the majority of the public believes that the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka uses a militaristic approach to governance.

A survey conducted by Celios of 1,338 respondents showed that 63 percent of the public believe that the Prabowo-Gibran government uses a militaristic approach in exercising power. As many as 24 percent of respondents disagreed and another 13 percent said they didn't know.

Taufiq Syarifudin, Jakarta – Protesters from the University of Indonesia Student Executive Council (BEM UI) held a demonstration on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan on Central Jakarta on Monday October 20. They brought eight demands called the "Asta Cita Rakyat" (the People's Asta Cita).

Based on detik.com monitoring at the location, the demonstrators from BEM UI arrived at around 4.11  pm and could be seen carrying a number of posters with demands related to the first year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
