Makassar – A protest action commemorating International Labour Day or May Day in Makassar, the provincial capital of South Sulawesi, became heated when police tried to seize a mask with a picture of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on it that was being used by the demonstrators.

Rizky Adha Mahendra, Jakarta – Protesters at an International Labor Day or May Day action near the Horse Statue in Central Jakarta set fire to two giant posters that had earlier been displayed during the demonstration.

Semarang – The Nusantara Trade Union Confederation (KSPN) alluded to former Central Java governor and presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo and acting Central Java Governor Nana Sudjana during a demonstration commemorating International Labour Day.

Jakarta – Workers from the Labor Movement with the People (GEBRAK) will hold a demonstration to commemorate International Labor Day (May Day) on Wednesday May 1.
